I'd like to add you can get some combos without an anvil (extracommands+). I once got a pumpkin axe with one set of exp (eff 4, silk 1, unbreaking 3). I have also gotten an eff 4, fort 3, unbreaking 3 diamond pick on one set.
I am looking to downsize the items I have to sell. I am saving cash to buy a melon sword. I could do the chain set + all of my Enchanted Books: fire Prot I, Blast Prot I, Sharp II, Power II, Smite II.
