Apparently a new mcmmo ability was added today. Unleashing the kraken. This happens when someone spams a fishing rod in water. It is seriously annoying when people start spamming this. I think it should be removed as it is seriously getting annoying.

No but it does summon lightning which EVERYONE hears and it sends a chat message. In the future it will kill you too.
I believe that this will help ECC in the long run because it will prevent Auto fishers and possibly call for some lobbying for fish prices to rise again. I haven't personally tested it yet, but does anyone know how many 'spam' clicks it takes to activate it?
I agree I think some people are voting against it because the first time it was run, when I was on anyway, it kicked everyone and said something like "wtf is the kraken." That is what I thought at the time but now it seems it was probably Andrew or someone who kicked everyone, not the kraken for a server restart. Maybe this is just me though...
Im not sure. I think its on random whether your 'spamming' or not. It will also kill you as soon as the Developers work that out.
New mcmmo fishing ability. If you spam the water right clicking with a fishing rod, there's a chance that you will "unleash the kraken" which is displayed in global. You are then struck by lightning, and have your fishing rod destroyed. If squids were not disabled in ECC, a squid would also begin attacking you.
I saw that same video, it is a great feature but people enjoy spamming it because a fishing rod itsn't that hard to come by nor are you killed by the kraken, which is a squid nicknamed the kraken that attacks and kills you in 30 seconds. The other problem with it is the lightning and the message in chat, it causes me for one, to go nuts, I cannot! stand that stinking message. The only upside to this new feature is that it pulls you into the water and destroys your fishing rod. The problem is that the devs have completely removed it right now because it causes way too many problems. Instead, it should be modified to leave in the "losing your fishing rod" effect and "the pulling people into the water" effect. I think that would be sufficient.
I don't have a problem with the Kraken but, I do have a problem with people purposely spamming the water just to annoy us. I think if a change was made where the Kraken actually killed you it would become far less enjoyable for users to spam.
I'm with harry, this feature does nothing but provoke trolls to join the server specifically to reign havoc.I stand by my original reply and will continue to do so. This new feature has caused nothing but trouble however if it's possible to keep the other features, it would be best.
