I'll be auctioning off Spawn Town 12. I won't claim the town until after the auction that way the owner can name it, and decide if they want it flattened or not. I'll let the auction go for roughly one week. I will have a minimum reserve price in place (don't worry, I think I've picked a reasonable amount), so if the auction ends and the bid isn't higher than it, then the auction will be cancelled. I'll let the auction go for roughly one weeks time. Auction is a go!
Mind sharing that price as a starting bid? No reason we should bid for the spawn town if our bid can be ultimately cancelled because it is lower than the minimum price you wanted, especially when we don't even know what that number is.
I'm treating this like I would any eBay auction. A hidden reserve price is there to keep me from getting absolutely boned in a worse case scenario. If you'd be more comfortable, I can give Clar my reserve amount that way she can confirm it if for some reason the bidding doesn't surpass it. There are no downsides to bidding on something with a reserve. Worse case for you is you just don't get the item, and you're not out any money. Worse case for me is that the bidding only goes up to $10 and I'm out of a town that I've invested a good amount of time into winning. There are several ways to go about doing auctions. This is the way that I prefer.
or u could simply start the bid at the lowest number you would take for it and let people decide if they want to pay that or more? but to each their own. il bid 50k \o/
I will state that studies have shown that people who use hidden reserve price on eBay have a significantly less chance of selling said item, and a majority of people who used the hidden reserve price for an item at least once ended up selling that same item without it, just saying. anyway 101k
I think they were going for a more inclusive spawn/spawn town setup, but I also believe it doesn’t hold up to the original layout. Spawn town owners in the past merged their builds or created something like a subway system between the towns to connect them more. The new design seems to lack that community between spawn town owners, which is very ironic if you ask me
I mean... it's hard to have community between spawn town owners when there have only been spawn town owners for a couple days. Pretty sure Clar would be more than willing to allow owners to incorporate the paths into their build themes but that requires there being, well, builds.
