Will current mayors and presidents have to pay 30k/40k? They really aren't special ranks either. There needs to be a better reason rather than there are "too many" presidents/mayors. This inflation that doesn't even exist won't start with towns. It just doesn't make sense to increase the price.
No, they will not. KHobbits Has made the inflation problem public. He is right, think about how much money is spawned simply from melon farming. He knows basically everything there is to know about the server. One of the best ways to lower this problem is either by creating new apps, or increasing the prices in them to remove the money.
I do not think we should change the prices of farming, as that will shift the economy too much. A large, but not to big, increase in price of President and Mayor applications is sufficient for preventing inflation further.
It will remove some of the money that is "spawned" from farming. With there being less total EcoDollars, each EcoDollar will have a higher value. Ultimately, doing the opposite of inflation.
However, most users who have a melon sword are tycoon+ making this suggestion pretty much invaluable to removing the massive amounts of money from farming.

I do agree that there are way too many mayors+ on the server, and that takes away the prestige of the ranks. However, this has been the case for so long now that it would be almost impossible to change and that little price hike for the ranks will be all but useless.
I hope you realize that new ranks were just added as money dumps for all the money that is spawned in the server... Mayor and President prices are fine. Even if they increased, we would still get quite a few of them. So long as farming is a nonstop, unchanged way of making money, it will not matter. Upping rank prices will encourage even more farming, which is even more money coming into the server. In the end, it balances out. There will be no difference. You also have to keep in mind the new users. If Mayor price goes up much higher, we will lose new users. As it already is, it looks steep enough to scare users from staying. Mayor and President both are nothing special for ranks. The only time they were anything special was the first two months of each of their existences. Both have been around for, what? More than two years now?
