OK, here we go. -PROS- -Lots of Quartz to mine and sell -Quartz means EXP to sell -Netherrack and Glowstone -You can place tnt -There are mobs -Pvp is enabled, so if you enjoy that, yah. -You can easilly make some decent money off this place -Blaze Spawners! -Nether Brick Fortresses! -Train mining skilll with netherrack! - soulsand -CONS- -It costs 20k, but not a problem as you can make lots of money off the nether. -There are mobs. (Good and Bad at same time) -Lots of lava. Not fun if you fall in. -can be Hard to navigate without the fly donation -Tnt is enabled. Can lead to some stupid deaths if you are no carefull. -Pvp is enabled, So that can lead to some cheap suprise ambushes. - Other PLayers sometimes create traps (TNT, pits, etc.) Overall, I would recomend getting nether, but get resident first. Also, if you have pyro+ that is a HUGE help in the nether as you will not take damage from fire/lava
You must like the color red/orange and not be deathly afraid of zombie pigmen they give me nightmares *8(
Sorry if I got some of the same stuff as other people, I skimmed through it. Pro - Train your mining level by mining netherrack, they give like 2xp each w/o mcmmo Pro - Blaze Spawners Pro - Glowstone/Glowstone Dust Pro - Loot in netherfortresses Pro - Even though pvp is enabled, its really rare to find somebody in the nether if you're actually far away. Pro - Quartz n Exp Pro - Soulsand Pro - Kill zombie pigmen for gold
I love the nether. It's great. One con though are the drastic and hidden drop offs. Surprise! You just fell 50 blocks. It's a really bummer.
Yeah, I think that's helpful but not strictly necessary. I just carry some fire prot extended potions and have fire resistant armor. I don't have any problems getting burned. I do suggest getting multihome though so you don't have to travel out of spawn each time. That area is totally tapped out, so you need to get pretty far away to find good quartz or blazes. Multihome is a must for me because my time is limited, and I don't want to have to go out 500 blocks to find anything each time I go down there.
I also would recommend getting Fly+ (not a necessity) but it enables Fly in the Mining World, and Nether. It will be easier to get that stubborn quartz that's on the ceiling EVERYWHERE.
