I brought this idea up in Global, we'll see what Andrew thinks; $40,000 per vent channel for they don't get crowded.
We used to have private ventrilo channels. I believe they were removed due to clutter. As a person who owns a ventrilo where everytime I log in the other admin to it has given everyone and their brother their own vent channel and I have to spend time cleaning it up, I know that it will get cluttered anyway. The only way I can support this is if it's more expensive than 40k, and/or ventrilo channels expire if the person who applied for them is away for x amount of time, preferably both, and even then I'd rather not have them.
With in-game chat channels you don't have to see them every time you log in. If they were added, which I think is a great idea, they should be more expensive than regular in-game chat channels (60k?) and should be removed if you've been off for a month or so.
+1 This would be a great idea! Currently, I don't use Ventrilo, because I'm not allowed to but if I could have a private channel so I could just talk to people I know IRL, that would be epic!
