This thread is meant to keep an up-to-date journal with star tools' market value. For every star tool I will keep a buying and a selling price, both with a last-seen date. I am neither buying nor selling star tools with this thread: this is just meant as a public service, a reference for everyone to refer to, hoping that I'll keep it updated with your honest feedback. Please reply using the following format: Spoiler: feedback Which star tool: Price (please specify also if it's upfront or payment plan): Are you just giving a honest estimate (est), or attempting to actually buy/sell at that price (try) or did you actually succeed buying/selling (done): if (try) are you buying or selling: if (done), when did this happen? I myself will reply using this format in the very first comment. Here are the market prices I've collected so far (pretty empty atm, please provide your feedback!): Tools Star pick: 2017-05-16: 1.20M upfront, done 2017-05-28: 1.15M upfront, try sell 2017-07-31: 1.05M upfront, try buy 2017-08-02: 1.10M upfront, try buy Star axe: 2017-06-11: _900k upfront, done 2017-07-31: _700k upfront, try buy Star shovel: 2017-05-28: _650k upfront, done Star rod: 2017-05-10: _825k upfront, estimate 2017-07-04: _800k upfront, done 2017-07-20: _850k upfront, done 2017-08-04: _900k payplan, try buy Melon sword: 2017-05-28: _975k upfront, done 2017-05-28: 1.15M upfront, done 2017-07-31: _900k upfront, try buy 2017-08-02: _950k upfront, try buy Combat Star sword: (none) Star bow: (none) Star elytra: (none) Star rocket: (none) Armor Star helmet: (none) Star jacket: (none) Star pants: (none) Star boots: (none) Star shield: (none)

Updated. @RazorRimz, if you have a better estimate than mine, you're more than welcome to provide it. I just took it out of my ass using a "reasonable" value for nstars @600/pc, but I don't really know the actual market value of an off-the-shelf tool
IGN: @DiamondDesire which star tool: Melon Sword are you buying or selling: I've done both. price you are willing to buy/sell for: 950k-1mil are you actually buying/selling at that price or is this just your honest attempt to give an estimate: I'm buying at this current price for the moment. may change mind in time.

I suggest you also add the price differences for Up-front payments vs. Payment Plans as they differ by decent amounts.... IGN: @THCOOL which star tool: Melon Sword are you buying or selling: Ive just recently bought one price you are willing to buy/sell for: I bought it for $1,150,000 on a partial payment plan (700k upfront, rest on payment plan) did you actually buy/sell at that price (done) or are you actually attempting to buy/sell at that price (try) or is this just your honest attempt to give an estimate (est): I actually bought it at this price. If this helps, I was told by another user that they had recently also purchased an msword for 975k. Only difference was that they bought it all upfront.
IGN: Ladyvamptress which star tool: Eff10 shovel are you buying or selling: I bought one price you are willing to buy/sell for: bought for $650k did you actually buy/sell at that price (done) or are you actually attempting to buy/sell at that price (try) or is this just your honest attempt to give an estimate (set): I bought it at that price.
@THCOOL and @Ladyvamptress: added, thank you. Also, I changed the format following TH's advice and updated the presentation of results. @Drewbo_: I assume your estimate for the rod was for an upfront payment, am I correct?

Added star shield! (if you find a 32x32 picture of it, please let me know. I could just make one and upload it on imgur, but i'd rather use one already available and possibly official)
