As many of us believe, with the recent massive bump for the price of presidents towns, i along with many others noticed that the price of Mayor has not gone up. I understand that while most people are not effected by it, in the long run many people are.
A massive price inflation like this merely because its "easier" to afford the towns, in my opinion, doesn't make sense. Presidents are the people who spend the majority of their time on the server, and that's one of the sole reasons why they have so much money. There is an absurdly large amount of towns on the server already, and i understand the price rise for the presidents.
On the other hand, i don't understand why Mayor(Something far easier to get when it comes to money), hasn't been raised in price. If the price of a president's town is going to go up, why not also raise the price of Mayor to allocate for the change? There are more mayors than ever and they're spreading throughout the map like wild-fire. In the mean-time, Most presidents are consolidating their towns to be close to each other.
I'm suggesting the price of Major go up, in collaboration with the raise in price of the towns of Presidents. Perhaps raise it from 75,000 to 95,000 or even 105,000.

I counted the Mayor applications going back 2 weeks and counted about 23 (including my own today, yay for me). However you are looking at inflation that should be decreasing since the change to farms that was made unannounced a week or so ago where the spawning of plants is in a smaller radius and up and down. I know compared to when I joined, its alot harder to make funds farming now then it was then because you have to stand where you want them to grow and wait. Also the player base has gone up thanks to advertising so of course more people equals more mayors. Based on recent threads asking for new towns to be stopped from being allowed completely to asking for a decrease in growth so that the server has less issues etc, it seems like the older server players just plain don't like sharing it with new people. Until Andrew switches from donations to subscribers though the server needs new players for new donations to keep it up and running, a neccesary evil if you choose to see all the new people as an evil addition. Presidents can afford the price hike and maybe even established residents could handle a small increase in the cost of Mayor but if you put things out of the reach of new players they will move on to a server that wants them. Right now being able to rank up to mayor and have a town safe for themselves and friends to build in safely is incentive for them. I see very rarely a President or existing Mayor looking for new people to move in and be a part of their town(s).
Currently the regular map has a ton of space left for new towns and overcrowding the map is nowhere near an issue. There is a somewhat rapid application rate for it currently but I think its purely relative to increase in new users and not because the amount is to low. 90k doesn't seem like much to older members and the people blowing huge amounts on the lotto on a regular basis but for new and newer, its still a very large amount. -
I think Mayor price should stay how it is. If it goes any higher, new users will be "scared" away - they already are at the price - and we want to gain new users, not lose or have them telling people elsewhere that we have insane prices.
To be honest, I see price raises in everything turning out to be similar to the first map. Huge inflation. There is too much money in the economy. As you raise town prices, you eventually raise prices of everything else to accommodate. After it is too late, you realize you've just inflated an economy and it's nearly impossible to deflate.
We need more money dumps or a true balance without prices changing unless Jeb makes a major change to something that requires us to change prices in some way. Right now it feels as if we're walking back into the first map's inflation. We fixed that by starting over completely - we can't do that now with how popular our server is. There would be an uproar. :/ -

So Wally What i get from this is ... We keep circulating our 2 mill around the lottery every day and you think its rising?... (It probably is but that's not because of lottery) The Issue here is members have nothing TO spend money on.
Jetscat had over a mill - Never spent it.
Deadbody had over a mill - Never spent it.
D0rc had over a mill - Never Spent it.
Now Emu has over a mill and he's not spending it.
The Cycle continues.
So Far I'm the only person who's ever won 1 mill money from the lottery and actually spent it all.
On a Rather Large Side note... Presidents aren't the ones with the mass money... So I don't know why the price hike was applied TO Presidents.
Xxemuxx - Mayor
Deadbody - Mayor
d0rc - Mayor
Jetscat - Mayor
Untill 2 days Ago Tommy_t was a Mayor
(Only Reason he IS a President now is because OF ME, practically begging him to buy my towns.)
I'm quite literally the ONLY president that plays lottery on a regular basis.
IF THESE PEOPLE AREN'T BUYING TOWNS AND THEY HAVE OVER A MILLION DOLLARS WHY IS PRESIDENT GETTING RAISED?... THEY CLEARLY DON'T WANT IT OR THEY WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT....
For the Love of all things Balanced...
PLEASE Bring President Back down, find OTHER ways to remove money from the Economy.
P.s. This is only to dispel the fact "Lottery" is involved in any way in this price hike in any way.
There may be reasons I don't know about for this price hike... (Which I'll argue against when i figure it out). -
