Item/Rank/Feature: Wool, Stained Glass, and Stained Clay/Hardened Clay blocks Data Value: Hardened Clay: dec: 172 hex: AC bin: 10101100 Stained Clay: dec: 159 hex: 9F bin: 10011111 (varies based on color) Wool: dec: 35 hex: 23 bin: 100011 (varies based on color) Stained Glass: dec: 95 hex: 5F bin: 1011111 (varies based on color) Current Price: All are $200/stack and 2k/1000 units Suggested Price: Hardened Clay/Stained Clay: $96/stack and 1.5k/1000 units Wool: $128/stack and 2k/1000 units Stained Glass: $96/stack and 1.5k/1000 units Brief Description: Hardened clay, while rare, can be found naturally in mesa biomes or can be cooked from regular clay that can be found underwater anywhere. Wool, on the other hand, cannot be found naturally in the main world and is even rarer in the mining world as it only comes from sheep mobs. Stained glass can be crafted by combining glass blocks and dyes. Open Discussion: There are a few main reasons why this change must be implemented. On more of an opinionated note, I do not like wool. I do build colorfully, but only with stained clay as it provides a more solid color and texture than wool. That out of the way, I'd like to present my two suggestions. One, the price per unit for wool, stained clay, and stained glass should be equal in both trade signs, so either one stack of either block would be $128 or 1000 blocks would be $3125, the former being more reasonable. This is primarily just an OCD pet peeve of mine and other players'. Finally, it should be said that wool should be more expensive than stained glass and stained clay, both of which can be crafted or even found naturally in the wild (especially now that the mining world spawn is in a mesa biome). Wool, on the other hand, can only come naturally from sheep, a mob which is very rare in the mining world and entirely non-existent in the main world. Without any natural access to the item, the only accessibility is at the spawnshop and should therefore not be equal in price to items that can be found or crafted naturally.
Good idea I totally agree, and also thanks for letting me know that the mining spawn is a mesa biome.
-1 1) The server shop should be higher than normal costs, to encourage the player market. The prices, where they are now work for the player market. Just making the prices cheaper means that players who do deal with these items aren't going to make a profit. 2) You should be able to get a discount if buying in bulk. As this suggestion stands, there is no reason for the second set of prices.
