Which terminology do you guys use? I've recently seen "supporter" being used more often, especially by Andrew, but which is more encouraged? If you are talking about the correct definition, everyone would be considered a "supporter" as we are purchasing a product the supports EcoCityCraft. I'm just curious as to which term is the most popular. I usually say donator out of habit.
I will continue to use "donator" despite the fact that it isn't technically a word just because I am used to it. However, due to legal reasons or whatever Andrew had to change what he calls us. I would assume that most people won't follow suit as they don't have to abide the same laws that Andrew has to
Donator. It used to be "donator chat" and donator something else. It is also a word so everyone who says it isn't is wrong unless google has failed me
Despite the fact it isn't a word, I still use donator purely our of habit. I'm sure this will change over time however, but at the moment it is still donator to me!
delucaco's post sums up my opinion on the matter. Also i just find the term "supporter" to be really weird to use. "can someone support for me the tp support feature?" Instead of the "can someone donate for me the tp donation feature?" It just doesnt fit into most conversations including it, which is why most users will continue to use donator and donations. Again its technically supporter because if you donate you have to be told where your money is going to, so that ends up releasing all of ecc's hosting sites and ddos protection stuff (i remember some GA saying this in chat, dont know if its on the forums or if its true).
I use donator from long-time habit, and because it sounds "prettier" ... I believe Andrew's gone away from the word recently, though. Makes sense, because technically we aren't "donating" if we are getting a lot of Stuff in return. lol
That's a little different. When 'donating' to someone for them to buy TP, you're usually not getting anything in return, where as when you 'donate' to the server, you're purchasing an in-game upgrade, therefore are considered by technical terms a 'supporter.' Now, I will probably use donator, just because it's what I've always used. Maybe in time I will switch to supporter, but for now donator is my term of choice. Also, OnSceneReporter (a.k.a. OnSceneSupporter), what are your thoughts on this?

I go between donor and donator. I don't always just use one. (Supporter doesn't sound right when you put it into a sentence.)
