Before you dismiss this as another n00by "HOW U MAK MONEE!???!" post, How do you make real money? I own a cocoa farm that yields around 2,500 ECD per harvesting. And it is quite a long harvesting, spanning from 15 to 20 minutes. I try to refrain from diamond tools due to cost; preferably, I use a stone axe that I freely craft in the wild. Then, I hear people having farms that produce 20K an hour.... 20K AN HOUR! Holy shmoly! How the heck do you get that dough?
20k/hour is like the max number players can make from farming or mining with star tools such as a melon sword or eff 7 pick.
I have a coco farm that is 100x100x29 it can produce $140k+/harvest but it takes some time to replant... a long time but its worth the trouble at the end

sg with kits i can make like 15-20k an hour and win most of the time alone when im teaming with my sg clan we win like 95% of the time but have to split the winning money up between us. When i get bored of sg which i dont usually get bored of it i will mine with my eff7.
I usually find that making a completely horizontal farm is best, 1x4x30+. You grab a diamond axe and just charge straight through those ripe cocoa fruits. It's the replanting that gets you.
There is a cocoa farm I have access to that I can make just over 10k/hr on a regular basis (includes replanting/regrowing), so your numbers are pretty much in line with the norm.
