NSTAR & XP Market Watch Last updated: 12/20/17 Just a brief explanation; I thought it would be an interesting project to closely watch the nstar and xp markets for a while, as they are unbelievably low, so I have decided I will share it on the forums as I do so. To calculate the prices of both, I will be going through the first two shops (that are actively selling) of every market to find the max-min & average prices. Then I will post my results here, with charts and graphs and cool stuff. I hope this changes the way you buy nstars and xp! Enjoy. (will be updated daily to the best of my ability) NOTE: THE TERMS "BUYING" AND "SELLING" ARE FROM THE PURCHASER'S POV. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- XP Market -------- Buying Price: Max: $1.40 - 0.00% ($0.00) Min: $1.15- ↑4.45% ($0.05) Avg: $1.35- ↑7.14% ($0.09) graphs will be inputted at a later date Selling Price: Max: $1.10 - ↑4.76% ($0.05) Min: $0.79 - ↑12.86% ($22.91) Avg: $0.99 - ↑5.10% ($0.05) graphs will be inputted at a later date Best/Worst Deals: -Buying Price: Best shop is #63 at $1.15/orb (@Nicit6 )Worst shop is (of 3) Colebex at $1.4/orb (@Imabankthing ) -Selling Price: Best shop is #17 at $1.10/orb (@sinder33 ) Worst shop is a tie across like 5 shops at $1.00 (I'll pick on @Nicit6 today) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NSTAR Market -------- Buying Price: Max: $685 - ↓1.72% ($12.00) Min: $625 - ↑19.05% ($100.00) Avg: $657 - ↑11.07% ($67.25) graphs will be inputted at a later date Selling Price: Max: $605 - ↑10.00% ($55.00) Min: $510 - ↑6.25% ($30.00) Avg: $573.33 - ↑7.25% ($38.76) graphs will be inputted at a later date Best/Worst Deals: -Buying Price: Best deal is Colebex (@Imabankthing) at $625/star. Worst deal is #68 (@monkeyBUTT244 ) at $685/star. -Selling Price: Best deal is still (actually) #68 at $605/nstar (@monkeyBUTT244 ) Worst deal is #63 (@Nicit6 )at $510/nstar. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Log: - 11/25/17 | Skylexia's shop is by far the most expensive shop I've seen at 800$ per nstar. This shop was not apart of the avg. due to the relative inactivity Skylexia updates prices at. - 11/25/17 | Updated to have Buying & Selling Prices - 11/26/17 | Added Colebex to average. - 11/27/17 | Most inaccuracies from the past few days fixed. - 12/20/17 | Sorry for the delay, the market has been pretty static (also I've been inactive) until last week, where everything got turned over its head. It's very hard to find stock right now anywhere on the market itself, and the price is only looking to go higher. If you don't mind paying a higher price or are fine with earning less but need stock/cash, Colebex is the most in stock market/store I have seen @Imabankthing
I am grateful to be a part of your list! My prices are high on NStars currently since I am actually saving them for myself The scary thing is that they still sell once in a while which is when someone really needs a star or two for a project and do not want to pay $800 for them
Have you also considered adding the prices that are paid for these items as well? It is known that for the majority of times I have been known to pay the highest for xp and nstars (not always to be sure). One other thing I personally have noticed is that many players have prices marked down extremely low and yet carry no stock and are actually quite inactive at times. This is a great idea and will be used by myself to help me price my items to make sure I am being as fair as possible!
Seeing this prices makes me wonder why, when I was selling exp for $1.10/orb... and had 250k+ in stock... no one bought any.
Yeah i was thinking about doing this as well, I wanted to first see if people like wanted me to continue to do this, (because its more work lmao) but I will definitely make sure to add buying price as well. I also make sure the seller has them in stock (or I know they stock them frequently) before I added them to the list. So fear not! Edit: added buying price in.
Honestly ill go buy it rn lol But I don't know why people don't buy it from you it's so much cheaper.
I love this! Also, maybe add Colebex to the list too as that is just as popular (if not more popular) as the server shops itself
I personally don’t agree - some of the Colebex prices are very low/high at times and I feel it would skew the data.
I am not quite sure how this would affect data in a negative way. As I explained, I am currently selling NStars at a highly inflated price due to the fact I really am not interested in selling them but feel that I owe it to my customers to have stock available if they really need a couple. Don't my prices skew the data as much as Colebex would? @Imabankthing keeps a very well run shop imho and feel that the data from his shop would only help the average data.
My prices tend to revolve around the market so shouldn't have too much impact on averages. Recent low prices on nstars & exp reflect the huge sales we have been having of late and it only makes sense that both would drop in price. No doubt they will recover in time.
I've decided after looking at colebex prices and market prices again today to include colebex as a part of the list, after all it is more active than most shops in the market, and seeing as my average is being skewed due to lack of shops having xp or nstars, colebex will be added. (also post has been updated)
This is a good idea! However, regarding the last update, when it comes to exp buying price: Imabankthing (Colebex) had a buying price of $0.7 per orb from his viewpoint, you indicate he sold exp for $0.7 per orb.
