Minecraft Name: Purplelegoender Suggestion: To allow nicknames to be longer not meaning more than 20 characters but in meaning of allowing us to fully color code them how we wish. I am not asking for our names to extend over 20 characters im just asking to exclude the color code from our actual names so it would let us color code our nicknames the colors that we want. Reason: I believe this is a good addition because it will allow us to have better nicknames or to color code them how we wish because I have met many other users who want to color code their full name but their name is really long and its annoying because my character name is 15 characters and It will not allow me to fully color code it how I want Other Information: Not much left that I could say, its only a suggestion that I would like to see. Last suggested in 2014. https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/suggestion-character-modification-for-nick.96994 KH mentioned that it would need to be a custom solution. Now, I am someone who will very rarely have any issues with the amount of formatting codes my full name allows, but I see why others would like that. Depending on the amount of work necessary (for LS, as KH mentioned), it might be a good idea.
Okay, their is some confusion on this so Ill clarify it better say you have your name. For example mine which is 15 characters long Purplelegoender, now due to obvious reasons I can't color code my full name like each letter with a different color. So what I am suggesting is not make nicknames longer but to separate the color coding and such from the actual nickname itself. For example you have your name Purplelegoender and you want to color code it. &1P&du&8r&7p&6r&5l&fe&1l&2e&5g&bo&ae&0n&bd&7e&6r Now lets just convert all of that out of this &1&d&8&7&6&5&f&1&2&5&b&a&0&b&7&6 P u r p l e l e g o e n d e r That's not the colors I would all use but it is better for those who do want to do something like this. A few others also are tired of having to shorten their names to color them such as &8P&7u&fr&ap&bl&5e which is annoying I want to be able to color my full name with out any problems as I like so that people will know who I am more better and I know this only applies to users with Nick+ but its still a good suggestion and could help.
Please no. I understand that you may not be able to fit all the colours that you want in your name, but chat is already a mess. People are purposely creating nicknames that reach the maximum limit that simply clog up chat. No need to make this worse. -1
Yes Bashdash I can agree, that is annoying and I don't see their point of making those foolish names but that's not what I mean.
I understand that's not what you mean but it is relevant to your suggestion as a whole as well as if it were to be implemented.
I'm pretty neutral but I do want to chime in. +1: I believe if its not increasing the length of nicknames its not an issue. 0: people with "spamy names " would be asked to change it by a mod, as they are now. -1: Chat can be pretty crazy already adding longer colored names could make it messy. I wouldn't have any issues as long as people change their name the first time they're asked by a mod. Respect their authority

- All the numbers. God please no. Nicknames already look like someone vomited confetti in the bottom corner of my screen and are a huge hassle.
I am fairly certain it already is 20 right now. Not talking about rules. But talking about what is actually possible.
