I don't think this is getting added. We used to have something similar to this, but it was removed, as it caused lag issues. Not up to me, though.
This is not laggy, multiple servers have these and i think it would be great for survival and also another option to minechat. Or if you wanna find someone or a certain place you can just look at the map. @Gernen
