Minecraft Username: monkeyBUTT244 Brief Description: OK, so I come online, and say hello in local chat. It looks like there is someone there, but I check with /near and no players are nearby. Either this is a bug with /near command or the local chat. Instructions: 1. Go to a place with no other people. 2. Say a word in local chat. 3. Type /near. This might only work if you just log in. Or it might go on and off. I dunno. How many times did you recreate this bug?: EAt least 3 times. Result: The local chat didn't say "Nobody hears you". It just looked like someone else was there. Expected Result: The local chat saying "Nobody hears you" Evidence: http://imgur.com/f9M26 Screen shot.
/Near reaches only 100 blocks. Local chat is 200 blocks. Whoever could hear you was outside of /near limits but inside chat limits.
No problem. I'm not supposed to lock, to keep this forum as an archive in case an issue arises, so just don't reply back lol.
Also, I think this problem should be solved by making /near a 200 block radius. It is a lot simpler, and will prevent any "bug reports" of this in the future. Just suggesting
