I would like to dedicate this post to my mother. Last night, i was awakened by her screaming/writhing in pain on the floor. She could not speak, so i called 9-1-1, and the EMR people took her to the hospital. Now call me a noob or a baby or whatever, but i think i cried for a good 10 minutes, because i could tell that the EMR people were treating this seriously, and would not look my in the eye when i asked them if it was bad. However, a good 5 hours ago, my mother got released from the hospital A-okay, just with a bottle of medication. So, i am still being pulled with a torrent of relief of her recovery. And before you say "why did you post this here" its because i love my mother dearly, and after being pounded with fear, i think that i can share my story here, where i KNOW that most if not all people here will understand my fears/thoughts either if they experienced them or not I would also like to give a thanks to Mrpublic, who understood how i was feeling, and comforted me and help took my mind of of it, as i waited for my father to come home (Yes i went onto ECC a little while after, because it calms me down, and forces me to think) -hockey
Im not 100% sure what happened, but the docters said her liver was having spazms or something, im not really sure probably an Gallbladder attack. Feels like an knife is under your rib cage and into your heart. Makes you short of breath and generally sucks... If you have insurance i'd follow up with her primary care doctor and possibly make sure what is happening.. They probably just gave her pain meds for the attacks. Stay away from fatty foods and that should help.. Just an simple idea this is not to be used as professional advice. As always in any medical emergency call 911 or get to an hospital as safely and quickly as possible.
