Hello, I am wondering if anyone can help me in finding the reason as to why my Minecraft game doesn't work. When I load the launcher everything seems fine until I actually try to start the game. If I try to use my Optifine client, the game won't show up at all however, if I try to click it again it says that there is a game already running but there is no sign of it anywhere including task manager and I have to use TM to end the process. If I try to run the normal unmodified 1.13.2 client, then it will show me the Mojang box as normal but will not load any further and it says it is not responding. I have tried redownloading Minecraft but that does not seem to help. Any suggestions/ideas are greatly appreciated, I just want to be able to play ECC again
Make a copy of your .minecraft folder, put it somewhere you’ll remember so you can access old screenshots, worlds and such, then delete the .minecraft folder and reinstall Minecraft.
last time you updated java and your graphics drivers? also for the hell of it if your on windows right click mc and click run as administrator.
If you didn’t delete you old .minecraft folder prior to reinstalling it won’t change anything. You just redownloaded the launcher which is still trying to load from the existing .minecraft folder.. Try deleting it directly from its primary laocation.. /c... user... your name...roaming.. app data.. Sometimes the app folder is hidden so you may need to change your settings to see it. Delete .minecraft and then run your launcher. It will create a new folder. If you have anything important (mods, textures, etc..) copy them to your desktop before deleting and then place them into your new folder.. be sure to run the updated optifine installer again to install in a new 1.13.2 folder as well. Typically this issue is caused by a corrupt file or something added externally that prevents it from loading. Often just deleting the main .minecraft folder and starting fresh is you best option.. I would try reinstalling graphics drivers and Java for sure, as jwpwns said. @Black_Cod35 couldn't get his working but it worked when he updated his drivers.
I kind of went full out when I had trouble with installer. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything (which was super unnecessary). I recommend you update all ur drivers. Once I did I was able to play MC
