As you all know minecraft has been updated. There has been alot of new cool stuff added to this version but it has also screwed up a particular thing... Alot of players arround the world is experiencing alot of lagg while they play. I've talked to several people on the server and they had the same problem, so did I. On 1.5 I always had 150 FPS +, on 1.6 I was at 10-40 FPS. I found it very laggy. And this problem is mostly seen on laptops with dual graphics card setups. But there is a soulution to this! The problem that is causing this is the new launcher... When playing on a laptop with the new launcher it defaults to using the integrated graphics card instead of the discrete version, like nvidia or similar. Like I have Intel (R)R HD graphics AND I have a Nvidia Geforce graphics card aswell. Hence the terrible FPS. This is how you fix it, step by step: 1* Simply right click at your desktop and click nvidia control panel (depending on what graphic card you are using) 2* On your left hand side you should find "Manage 3D settings" (This might be different with other graphics card then nvidia, but it should be the same principle) 3* Under "Global Settings" select "High performance nvidia processor" as preferred grpahics processor. 4* Now, play on ECC without the lagg! Hope this has helped the ones that had this problem!
Yeah Optifine helped a lot but it's not like 1.5.2 I still lag a lot at spawn and a lot more than usual at the market. Ik the market is laggy but i am usually fine when there. since 1.6.2 It's been very laggy there for me.
