Minecraft Name: Polluxz Suggestion: To add a mentor system Reason: from my experience, Ecocitycraft was a hard server to get into. The global chat was filled with banter so it was hard to ask for help there except for low peak times and i joined and left the server 5 times before i finally stuck. A mentoring system would consist of more experienced players being mentors and teaching newer players about the basics of the server. I was thinking of adding incentives for the mentors so they get something back from teaching the newer players and hopefully getting them settled in. Maybe have them do a quiz with 10 questions and at the end, if the trainee finishes it he gets 6 netherstars and can give that to the mentor and it goes down from 6 to 5 etc for everyone he gets wrong. In my opinion, this system will allow new users to settle in with this hardcore economy server and hopefully grow our playerbase. Sounds like a good idea to me. I know when I started I was lucky that there weren't as many people on at any given moment and I was able to get help easily. (+1)
I think keeping the "incentive" relatively low would be a good idea - the trick is finding one that rewards the players for doing it but is still only going to attract players who want to help.
If this system is implemented, I think adding a mentor academy where they have to apply for mentor and someone running that academy will review the applications so only people dedicated to helping will be accepted. Also adding /ch men which is only available for mentors and new players. This is pretty much the same as a teacher. Getting paid to teach.
I will help you out on this and talk to some people that could help make it happen. I think it's an awesome idea.

I'm halfway to mayor. I am willing to build a town for mentors where we can set up classrooms for the builders and a teachers office and stuff like that. I can make this town pretty much kind of like a school
I would actually not like to see it added officially; it would be too hard to run and wouldn't really be much different than done by users. However, all the power to the people who want to start their own mentoring/newbie adopter systems. I've seen them on a lot of sites, usually put into Introduction sections (which ECC unfortunately doesn't have the forum), and they work well.

I'm at school so I can't play until like 8 hours. We probably can't play until the weekends where our time zones don't conflict.
