The original developer of mcMMO has recently returned to the development community. He is taking over the project and doing a full blown revamp. We are looking for player opinion and advice on what you like and dislike about the plugin. WE ARE NOT asking you what you like and dislike about EcoCityCraft's mcMMO configuration (meaning how we have levels configured, drops configured, treasures configured, etc). WE WANT TO KNOW your thoughts and opinions on the actual mcMMO plugin. What would you like to see changed, what would you like to see added, what would you like to see removed, etc. Example: Perhaps there's something you don't like about a specific ability such as tree feller, or perhaps you want something added to an ability, such as berserk working on glass, etc. Please post below.
It would be nice for players to have a command like /drops off to have ability to disable drops from skills like excavating and fishing. They're nice sometimes, but it can also be annoying when I'm clearing a small mound of dirt and I suddenly have a dozen other items needlessly filling up my inventory.
Just fill your inventory with single dirt so you don't pick up anything else. The rest will get butchered.
Ever since the combat update, the Swords skill is EXTREMELY underpowered compared to the axes skill. Balancing the PvP skills would be the most ideal thing.
Here's an idea, how about super breaker possibly giving silk touch to the tool, perhaps added at a higher level? Edit: expanding on the idea - upgrading the skill abilities at a certain level is basically what the idea above is promoting. I wouldn't know of upgrades for all skills but super breaker is a starting point. Edit2: excavation upgrade could do a 1.5x chance of dropping an extra block of the block that was destroyed
Please please please add the ability to toggle messages pertaining to passive mcMMO perks, such as *ENEMY BLEEDING*. With the Sweeping Edge enchant, this became downright excessive Spewed out at least 10 messages per swipe, it was terrible.
It is part of McMMO and is configurable. Unless you mean, implementing a command to allow players to disable drops for themselves. @Jackson_G14 is this what you meant? If so I apologize.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread. I'll look into the spam from bleed and adding a toggle for drops from abilities.
I saw there was a MCMMO Salvage skill at one point; was this just never finished by the dev or was it something pulled out by ECC?
Salvage was made after I left, if its not available on ECC that's because of a setting they have. I'm going to be looking at it some point before 3.x.x but honestly I don't even know how it works yet
The ability to auto-remove old chunklets, I know it’s to prevent abusing double drops but the amount of files it generates is crazy. Also optimizing particles from the abilities, I know it’s possible to currently turn them off, but when they’re on it lags users game into crashing.
the files generated shouldn't matter much with an SSD as for particles, yeah those were also put in after I left and they lag like a bitch. I actually removed some of them in 2.0.0 (Well.. more like I turned them off by default).
I agree with a swords update. counter attack seems kind of useless since we cant block with the sword anymore. perhaps a new skill to replace that one
It would be cool if you could toggle passive mcmmo abilities (ie drops, acrobatics roll, extra damage in combat, etc). So similar to what @Jackson_G14 said, but not just for drops. All passive abilities/bonuses/etc.
