Could it be possible to unallow LWC removal in towns unless you have the Mayor's permission? Banned, left, any kind of player, someone could easily request LWC removal of chests/doors/etc. that belong to another user, such as the Mayor, and the admin can't necessarily know who owns those locked items/house/whatever if the requester doesn't state it. I'm sure you can't always keep up with who still plays, who doesn't, who is and isn't a part of the town, etc. as there are many players, and checking all those things could take time. ...or are we just forced to make rules in our town about LWC removal? It just seems kind of wrong that you could technically request LWC removal in a town. I don't think LWC removal counts as "stealing," so I don't know if a rule against no stealing could 'prevent' someone requesting LWC removal in a town...
I don't think it is nearly as punishable when you remove the LWC to a banned user's things. However, in general, I'd prefer it if you couldn't just remove LWC in a town, and need a Mayor/Co-Mayor's permission.
In the case that the user is banned permanently, say Daneth, the mayor of a town he may of lived in(to my knowledge) doesn't have a choice. Andrew periodically removed the privatizations on chests belonging to those users permanently banned, such as the User Yesyea. In addition, Andrew never unlocks a chest without knowing who owns it first. He can easily tap the item to find out who owns it, then he decides from then on.
Even when he sees who owns the chest, he is too busy to always know the status of all players. And I understand the permanently banned users, but he has said in the past that he gives some users a second chance, if they so wish to make a proper ban appeal, etc. I at least want to know if I'm allowed to put in my town rules "You are not allowed to request an LWC Removal on anyone's chests, furnaces, doors, etc. within this town," and that they have to abide by it. I assume I can do that, but I want confirmation on it.
