Minecraft Username: EtherealSquid Brief Description: lwc groups, specifically region: (region) (do not put a space after the colon, i had to do that so it wouldn't become an emoticon) do not work for protecting locks. You should be able to specify a region, like /cprivate region: pixeltown and the lock will only open for members of the pixeltown region. LWC dialogue confirms the region is added to the lock but not that it is engaged. Instructions: Lock anything using /cprivate region: (region name). The lock should automatically be usable by anyone added to that region. How many times did you recreate this?: 10+ with @HyruleanHero Result: Only the owner can use the lock Expected Result: Any user from the region should be able to use the lock Evidence:
A work around to this problem is in regions with interact deny on, a public lock will have the same effect.
We tried that, and the signs were able to be used by nonmembers. My guess is this is so chest shop signs don't accidentally get locked out to nonmembers.
Sorry then, this works for doors so I just assumed. A worse workaround would be to block the sign inside a door-ed off room
@ClarinetPhoenix perhaps we should add this to the wiki now that it works. As well as the credstone stuff if it’s not there and the mcmmo scoreboard stuff. Please add to your todo list .
In addition to being able to lock chests based on regions (therefore allowing things like town-member only donation chests) using region: , you can also lock chests only for people with specific ranks and features, like a chest that only opens for Tycoons, or a chest that only opens for people with extcommands++, using the group: or g: modifier
@andrewkm 6 days later....... ._. All info added to our one-stop shop for LWC Protections information. I also added other information about flags and some disabled features of LWC(like /cdonation). I figured it might be good to have such sections in-case we need to enable/disable certain features in the future and then that information can be added to the wiki. https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/wiki/lwc-protections/?noRedirect=1
/lwc flag autoclose on will make locked doors close after about 3 seconds once you've opened them, same as a button or pressure plate would. I tested and it works, though the page says it's disabled
I tested it and it didn't work for me, hence why I said it's disabled. There isn't any reason for it to be disabled. Will look into later to see where I went wrong.
I will gladly submit some wiki pages for you to review with some tricks and missing information I've been compiling if you would like it
