Currently, I'm looking for some price estimates on a building I'm thinking about hiring someone to build. I just want prices, you buy your own materials, I'm looking for some estimates.

I want to build a courthouse. A large one. I want it to have the courtroom, with seating for fifty (Either rows of chairs or a stadium-type seating).

I also want a back room, for the jury and the judge to come out of and go into to decide the case. I want the first room you walk into on the bottom floor to be the "waiting room". Basically, a welcome desk, stairs leading up to the courtroom, and some chairs and a metal detector by the door.

I also want 3/4 offices branching off the waiting room. Just small rooms, for a desk, some chests, a few bookshelves, ect.

Of course, the court room would have a judges stand, two desks for the defense and prosecuting, a witness stand, and a little desk for the clerk to sit at. And all the seating of course.

I'm not sure how big this would take, or the cost, ect. Assuming the main building is made of wool, and that internal stuff and ect would be put there by me, such as stairs, decoration blocks, ect.

What exactly would this thing cost? I need some estimates. Rough ones. Remember, the builder will be buying all the materials and the building is only two stories.

Estimations on pricing, size, time to build, all would be helpful.

While I'm not sure if I'd be interested in doing a build like this anytime in the near future, I have done such projects for various others members. The build would have to be at least 35x35, if you're asking for someone to supply materials it would probably be a pay of well over 100k. I personally would take around 1 day to brainstorm the build in creative mode, then another 2 to implement it onto the server. Just my 2 cents, though I'm sure it could be different for others.

Okay, but 35x35 sounds a bit small...
    40x40-50x50 comfortable size?

Also, if I provided materials, what would the price range be then?

i'll tool around with addfurdad to see if its something we would be interested in taking. will discuss a price with him, and size needed after testing in our creative server.

materials would probably be wood, which we have plenty of, other materials could be used if needed/requested.

if you wish to see something on the large scale we have built, contact me in game and i'll tp you to our fireworks stadium (took less than 1 week to build)

I'm more interested in a price range then actually building it at the moment.

I'd hate for you to do a ton of setup work, and then give me a price I can't handle.

Actually completely forgot about this thread xD, I said that 35x35 would be the minimum, but ya, something larger would probably be preferred.

done some testing on the single player, just a 1 layer build in a 50x50. it should fit quite easily. If redstone lighting is desired it can be done as well. estimated price tag for this could range from 100-150k.

What about if I covered materials, what would a builder charge for it? And no redstone lighting please :p

I have no idea what a [builder] would charge for it, as they are all different, my prices simply come from materials used, with parts and labor attached.... I do tend to overestimate, and all are negotiable. we can do wool, but the stairs etc wont really match all that well.

Oak stairs + white wool? That doesn't match? :p I think it does.

Assuming you built it, and I supplied all your materials, what would you charge?
