Weird cause with my cooking pot I don't take any instant damage but still burn but with red's I took 5 hearts instantly. Also I find that the amount of things you get per coal keeps changing, I used to get 10 then 15 and now 20.
The fuel per coal should be 20. This was also changed. I'm not too sure about instant damage, I can look into this though. The length of how long you are on fire depends on how much fuel is in the pot.
oh boy, I have 100k fuel in mine.. Well, the solution is to simply not to left click the cooking pot, it usually burns you.
