Will the administration still be putting on events for the spawn towns and will the new Main be changed like it was going to to be 'updated' and take things out that you didnt think worked well.

Or will it be essentially the exact same main but with a new map? As it would kinda feel pointless doing a new main if stuff isnt gunna be changed, thought that was a big reason for the change.

 

Personally, if you’re not going to update main any further, no reason it should be reset. Just put it back the way it was (if that’s possible) and let people continue to play main.

I’m going to vote no for a main reset, if City isn’t going to happen.

Absolutely nothing to do or grind on the server anymore, not motivation to have fun. A full reset WITHOUT STAR CRATES would bring back motivation and fun to grind and achieve on ECC again and probably bring back more old players to be active again. And not to mention the star tool market wont be in the pile of shit that it is now.

 

This would be a perfect compromise.

Imma vote no only because i don't really see the point of creating a new map when you could just implement everything new city was gunna have on the old main.
The biggest reason of making the new map was cause we couldn't update the old one, now we aren't updating, map will be fine. The new world wont have any new biomes, And i don't see why anything that was going to be implemented on new city, couldn't apply to old main. Only thing that might not be able to implement would be no star tools, but you could get around this by potentially blocking them like pump axes have been blocked on melons. Or how the luck7 rod became unusable. From what andrew was hinting, the tools were gunna be lowered rather then removed which again would be possible on old main.

Whatever is easiest:
a. implement suggestions people wanted for city on old server
b. Create new main and implement suggestions people wanted.

Voted yes, I've done what there is to do on main and provided City still gets the anticipated changes could be a lot of fun. Not to mention recently we've seen a lot of oldies come back and mention interest in city.

 

TBH while i understand how bad 1.13 is if there are never going to be any plans to try to find another dev or update to 1.3 or any future updates. Its a waste of time and money to do any sort of reset or anything really because we wont be getting any new players due to us being on 1.12 i was actually slightly looking forward to the new 1.13 main... but owell Ty for the mostly good 7+ years @andrewkm .

 

What would removing star crates on main do? The damage is already done, there is already a massive amount of star tools the only way to fix it is if you take out star tools which is not happening.

 

I'm still pretty bumbed about loosing the [Trade] signs, A ton of lost resources...
If we arent going to 1.13, do the [Trade] sign portion have to go?

 

@andrewkm possible to bring back SG or is that too far gone? If I recall there was a problem with the code but I could be thinking of something else

well if old main would be kept - the new one would be more easier with no star tools and such

or both without star tools would help
