Hello, as you most likely know i want to know if nether is worth it. So that is what i want to know, if it's worth it. but not only that, but i also want to know some tips. One main problem is PVP. I'm not really good at PVPing so please leave some tips down below and how to survive
The nether isn't that populated. I've had nether access a couple months and never PVP'd there (except once with a friend because we could). Just get out of the spawn area, fly a few hundred blocks and set a home and you should be good.
I have only been attacked once and I just use /spawn or /home to escape. I recommend bringing fire prot armour if you don't have pyro+.
The nether is a great place to make money (through mining nether quartz) and the pvp there is relatively meaningless as the majority of the people there are either mining or farming blaze spawners. I personally always mine in the nether with full protection 4 and a sharpness 5 sword just in case someone decides that I am a target. But overall I've maybe been attacked in the nether 5 times in my two years playing so I wouldn't worry much about people attacking you. Hope you found this helpful, anvildash
I think it's worth it. It's very hazardous but not if you know what to do and you got the right equipment. Prot 4 armor is a must. As well as feather falling IV with prot4 too. I don't really have fire protection. Just in case things get bad (lava, fire ,etc) I have my home set at a water fountain at my city. But honestly I can run into lava and just keep going without caring much about it. It usually takes about 2 hearts so no big deal. About pvp I've only been attacked once (actually twice but within 5 minutes period) by a guy who actually posted here! ( *cough cough* anvildash *cough cough*) but didn't die. My recommendation to avoid PVP is to go up (using Nether racks if you don't have fly) and get close to the bedrock on top (I believe is around Y: 120) and then mine your way through a horizontal path and get as far as you can. Then when you think it's enough start mining down (diagonally, if you go down vertically you risk falling from a huge height or into lava) and do it carefully. This is, in my opinion, the best way to move around the nether. I have only died once in the nether and it was on my first day before knowing all these things. Btw, all this knowledge didn't come from my own experience. t0fl gave me all these tips, he is awesome haha. I personally believe that if you get away from spawn it is almost imposable to find anyone else. You probobly should expect one death in your corear, so that is an extra 10k for things you lose at that point plus 20k. 30k isnt too much for perminant access to the nether. It is like any donation feature, it may not get you back ur money right away, but it does give you privlages to the nether for as long as you play ecc.
