Ok, so here is my delima. I want to have a huge animal ranch in the aether. It would be best if it was connected to the spawn island. Currently I have a small base there and I have built around other people's stuff. However, due to a recent lag/butcher, I am going to be expanding and hopfully making a more permanant ranch in the aether. For my first question, is there any way for anyone to modify any part of the protected spawn area? I'm not talking a lot, but even if one block was moved, it would make things easier. If no, then its not too big of a deal, but if yes, then who do I talk to about possibly having this happen? My second question has to do with inactive users in the aether. There are a few structures around where I plan on expanding and they are all 'owned' by people that show up as having last logged in over a month ago. I know that it says to leave other people's things alone, but what should I do about this? I probably wouldn't get reported as greifing if there isn't anyone that would report it, but I still don't want to take action without getting prior approval. Of course if the structure is owned by someone active, I would pay them to move it or if all else fails, build around it leaving their stuff intact and redily accessable. There are a few protections that may get in the way, but I can always build around small things. Its just the big buildings I worry about. Also, if there were say a crop farm (aginst the rules in aether) in the way, would I just need to notify the owner or would I just want to report it. Thanks in advance for all your help! I'll let people know when my ranch is finally done, and hopefully open for buisness. (we need things like horses (and flying horses!)(and unicorns with rainbows!)) P.S. Who is building a moon in the aether? I saw this big moon the other day and wanted to know who was doing that.
It's not a moon! Its a DEATH STAR!!! A destroyer of moons! Its actually just a big sphere until I get it finished. Then I will edit portions of it so that it resembles the death star. As to your other questions, only andrew or I guess now wewin could ever edit the spawn. As for inactive users, the aether really needs some type of application for removal process for people who've been offline for more than 60 days or so. I won't touch a single block that's not mine in the aether but its kinda useless to be protecting someone's stuff who has been gone forever and may never return. I would also report large farms that are against the rules (over 16x16 1 layer) as the first ones removed were just those found by andrew and wewin flying around in the aether, I don't think every section was checked. There's nothing we can do with inactive people in the aether, sorry. Remember, they payed to have access to the aether, therefor it would not be fare to remove them for lag purposes.
