Its extremely difficult to post, but i'll try my best to keep you all updated on info as to how Hurricane Sandy is effecting us. A few facebook pages are keeping me updated, but despite what they are wishing, i can already tell this is going to devastate not only the entire town, but the entire county and perhaps the entire state. The following pictures I post will be of the shore town I spend my summers in every year. Well, spent.. Take it from me or not, but in my opinion this is going to be the most devastating hurricane in East-Coast history, and a national disaster. The following pictures were taken between 9AM and 11AM. The Tide is currently --Out--. My neighbors house is already under a foot of water. A local Tavern; Looking into the bay. The view from the docks in the bay. The water has risen so high, again, during LOW tide, that they have broken on-top of themselves. The road leading down to the point. This is during --low tide--. A local pancake house where i would eat breakfast every morning during the summer months. Thats --Two Feet-- of water and the hurricane has not even mixed with tonight's astronomically high tide. A local salon, supposedly 3 inches of water already. Looking down the street.
The following images were taken sometime after 11:15AM. I will continue to post pictures here. 25th Street over the bridge The local Realtor, under 3 feet of water; Our wawa; The wawa in the town nextdoor A piece of a dock, floating down the street
Hope you stay safe, Welikeike22, and others. Also, Did you take these pictures or did you find them on the facebook pages?
Ontario is getting some nasty storms and surges at the lakes edge Any player who is near lake ontario, Be prepared to be wet...
Oh gosh, that flooding... ._. Reminds me of when our house and driveway flooded, but that wasn't even a hurricane or backlash from any. I'm seeing more and more disaster far from the actual hurricane, so I'm hoping my relatives on the east coast are prepared and aware. :/ Hoping people are staying safe from the gd hurricane.
lolwut. I'm on the west coast, I'm nowhere near the area of it's effect. That couldn't be me if I wanted it to be. Anyway - It seems like sandy is having quiet the effect on you...I'll repeat what everyone else has said - stay safe!
Yes, Burlington, Oakville and all those places will definitely be effected buy the hurricane. I live right in the dead center though so the hurricane isn't as bad here (Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge). Stay safe. BTW this is kinda irrelevant but Oakville kicked our inline hockey teams but they're pretty smokin' good xD
Lol the rangers are amazing ik Anyway, im in oakville and the lake is now flooding part of gairloch gardens
