Hey for the vast demand of new residents ive decided to make a tut on how to make a trade sign! (for selling items) so first ima show u how to set it up, if u dont under stand watch the video! First Line! The first line should always be [Trade]. (doesnt have to be cap but makes it look better :3) Second Line! The second line should always be how much ur selling the items for. Third Line! The third line is the most complex out of them all, but very simple! Just make it how many your selling for the price on the second line, then put a ":" After that put the block [Block/Block ID] Then another ':' Now last you would want to put How many you want to put in the sign like a stack! Just type 64 at the end! Frorth line! Leave the forth line blank!!! thats where your name goes!!! Example: | [Trade] | | $4: | | 4:04:64 | | SynWannaBe | <------- Leave Blank! My username is also cut off at the bottom of the sign. A. This is because your username is longer then 13 characters. At the moment usernames with more then 13 characters will NOT be able to use these signs. Sorry for the inconvienience. Q. What if someone breaks my sign, will they take the money in it? A. No. No one can break a [trade] sign other then the creator. Q. Someone just said they broke my sign and it came back with no text. Now they are laughing at me and say my signs are empty. A. This is not true. The sign is still there and still has the text and contents of it. The reason it comes up blank for the person that broke it is because of the updating method. Signs are only updated *visually* on disconnect/reconnect. If that user simply disconnects from the server and reconnects to it, the signs will still have the text and the contents it had. Q. The item i want to sell doesnt fit on the sign. The name wont fit and theres not enough room!? A. Instead of the name simply put the item id number. For example if you want to sell cobblestone and cant fit it on the sign simply use 04. So your sign should say 1 04:10 (This would sell 1 peice of cobblestone and the sign would only have 10 available.) Here is a link with all the item id numbers: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Data_values Remember some items have hex codes. For example yellowwool is 35,4 You must use a comma. Help/Info: If your name is too long, such as yelowwool, use Line2: 1 35,4:10 this would sell 1 yellowwool with 10 in the sign. Afterwards put a sign above your trade sign on a wall for example stating what it is you are selling, so your customers are not confused! (andrewkms FAQ on the wiki >> dont kill me andrew! XD)
