I've seen many people complaining in global about their stolen horse, so here is a guide to make a secure stable First Step: Find Some Land to Build On Second Step: Outline the Stable Third Step: Build the Stable Fourth Step: Check under the floor to see if there are any holes that people can get into the stable using /jump. If there are any holes, fill them up. Fifth Step: Fill in the floor Sixth Step: This is what makes the stable secure, you have to make the walls AND roof 2 blocks thick. It may not be pretty, but it's functional
OK, as someone who has never owned a horse, I'll bite. Why must the roof and walls be 2 blocks thick to be secure?
Out of curiosity, what if you have it one block thick, but outline the inside of the blocks with locked trapdoors? Will /jump still be able to go through that?
mostly correct. the two block thickness is also so that people can't break the block and then quickly get on your horse before the server can restore the broken block. You don't need /jump to abuse this. /jump will go through any number of blocks if they can get underneath the stables or if they can see inside the stables.
1. Get unlimited LWC's. 2. Build a 8x8 box completely made out of furnaces and lock them. 3. Cover that 8x8 with any full block. (not glass/glowstone) 4. Place a sign on every block (not furnaces) and lock it. 5. Make sure that no one can go directly under it. 6. Celebrate by riding your fully protected horse in the 8x8 claustrophobic box.
