    As some of you know... Installing mods is different and hard to do.
    So I made a tutorial on how to install optifine for minecraft version 1.6+.

    doesn't work for me, i did everything you said, but when i creted new profile, it doesn't show 1.6.2 modded. also, i get a .jar file when i copy/paste the 1.6.2 modded from the original 1.6.2

    Well once one mod is installed, you don't have to rename the .jasn and the .jar again.

    Ummmm... You don't need to create a new profile, you can just change the jar you're using on the profile you're using right now. I had this problem when I was creating a new profile; Its a bug in the lancher. But if that doesn't help you, I'm sorry man I cant help.

    Sorry I couldn't help, but there is some people having troubles and its because of the lancher is still buggy and mojang are working hard to fix it.
