How to get money?

I have always felt that mining has always been the most interesting and fastest way to earn money on ECC. Take your xp and upgrade the pick to eff V when you have enough... then add max fortune.
Cocoa beans are still quite profitable (I think) with no special tool required and are safer.

 

Personally, I think pumpkin farming is the safest way to earn good money. Mining is ok, but without pyro+ or fly+ you are at high risk of dying. I remember a friend of mine put eff5, unb3 on a diamond axe and bought perms to a big pumpkin farm. It took her about 2 weeks (I think she spent 4 hours a day farming) to rank up from builder to president.

Of course mining is probably the best way to try and get the exp/money you need to upgrade the tool and then pay for farm perms. Also pumpkin farming can be really boring, but you don’t have to replant or worry much about dying.

 

Personally, I think @Ladyvamptress is much smarter than me. Listen to her!

 

Try to see if you can work something out with @xHigh420x maybe? He sells axes and has a huge farm.

If you're good at building- its prob the best way to get money.
Its a slow start at the beginning but you'll be rolling in money within about 2 months.
But only if you're honestly good at building

 

Yep, just farm your lil heart out and /sell pumpkin. Do it a few hours a day and in a couple weeks you’ll have a good amount of ecd.

Once you get some cash flow, if you get bored you can buy a good shovel, rod, pickaxe and switch things up, if you want to. As Laggy suggested, if you’re good at building, you can build for others or just do small jobs for other players. The possibilities are endless, but now you have a steady way to earn ecd. Congrats!
