I am most interested in the higher ore rates. Really want to check that out.

 

PVP sucks, and the ores are all in 1-ore veins -.-

 

PVP sucks meaning you don't want it, or not exciting enough? o.o

As for the veins, there are a lot more ores on the map compared to the main world. Veins are still kind of there, just broken apart by a few blocks; kind of how lapis normally is. Just got to work harder for this free money you're getting. Come up with new mining methods.


I'm enjoying it so far... Even the creepers. It's fun wandering around underground, finding someone else's tunnels, then being all sneaky.

 

I don't want it. Posted on suggestions becuase mining is supposed to be peaceful. Not lose your silk touch and super enchanted picks. :evil:

 

Mining isn't supposed to be peaceful. Mining is supposed to have zombies and skeles, creepers and spiders, lava falling on your head and pits in caves... Mining World is more peaceful than a normal normal world. :b

 

I agree with zard. The pvp is fine but the jungle makes it easy for trolls to hide up in trees and drop potions and stuff. I found ores well enough but having to go back and forth for my enchanted picks was annoying. Can't afford to lose them to some lame punk ambushing me from the tree tops. I have also noticed that many of the users killing everyone are mods, presidents, and mayors. Thats cool and all, but it might hurt the economy some since people may refuse to do buisness with others who killed them. I know i wont. In the end i think we are going to see the faction thing in the new worlds which could be cool if we have the plugins. In any case i lost way more money messing with the mining world then i have in the few months ive been on the server, so i will more the. Likely stick to the usual.

 

Hotkeys set to /home or /spawn may save you, at least a bit. I don't use them, but I'm sure others are.

And singling those users/ranks... They have been around and know how to make money for potions and such. Residents are new, and don't have all the potions, enchantments, and armor that others do. They're still new trying to gather everything and get a good standing and money to buy what they need. :b

BTW, what happens in mining world, stays in mining world. :)

 

I suspect the depth where the highest ore (diamonds in particular) concentrations are in mineworld is different than mainworld and vanilla. I might post more info after i've spent much more time in it.

 

I went mining for an hour or so, and got 7 diamonds, 5 were on the way down at level 31 and 2 were on the bottom 5iish levels almost 40 minutes later. Not great mining for me. :l

 

My thoughts have changed. This is not a mining world though, it's a PVP world. Maybe change the name, but I think it's actually a lot more fun this way :D

 

I dont like how all the ores are split up. I used 2 and a half diamond picks to get 7 diamonds :(

 

Wow... I was excited to reach residency, but the mining world is more of a PVP thing? I think maybe I'm not as excited as I once was... *sigh* well, there are other things I'll get with residency.

 

I's pretty good, but I have't found a SINGLE creeper, and there is almost no one in the world. he mining is ok, but the constant danger of being klled only makes me mine the nesecceties. I have mixed feelings :/

 

Mixed Feelings is a great way to put it.

As for a mining world, that is false advertisement.

Higher level players prey upon the actual miners who do mine, and help support the server and other players. I don't mind PVP, but I believe it should be limited to a specific area and not the world as a whole. As it stands now, it's difficult to enter the mining world and feel comfortable leaving the spawn. Every turn i'm looking behind myself making sure somebody isn't trying to chase me down for my hard earned ore.

As a newer member of the server and Resident I can vouch that it is very difficult to get a foothold on the server and be able to afford a plot in a town, build a home, and create a means to sustain myself without somebody constantly preying me. As someone who likes to mine I can say that I feel like my arm is being twisted to subjecting myself to PVPers just to be able to dive into the earth and find ores that haven't already been picked through 100 times.

I propose a new world, a high stakes world, where a larger number of resources are very abundant. Where there is no LWC, teleport, flying, etc. and players can PVP there. It would give both the PVPers and Miners a happy medium where they can coexist.

I think it's necessary to maintain the Mining World as miners currently cannot rely upon the Wild to keep them profitable. The wild won't be reset, the mining world will. The constant turnover will keep ores flowing into the ECC world, while the Wild will maintain it's usefulness and a high stakes wild will exist for anybody who wishes to enter it.

 

I like it cause the mobs that spawn
