    Hello everybody,
since a while I am encountering problems with my adobe flash player. Sometimes it says "Flash player encountered a problem and must be closed" (Not sure about exact translation, using german as language setting). I can either choose "Force ending" or "search for a solution online". The first one makes the browser freeze for 20-30 seconds, the second does only fix it for 1-2 minutes like option 1. In both cases the error message quickly reappears. The main thing I am posting this here is because every page other than the ECC forum is working. I tried a thorough de- and reinstallation of flash player, but still having this problem. :(

    Anybody got an idea?

EDIT: Not sure whether this is important...mainly (Not always) happening when I drag links to a new tab, for example when I want to display all unread threads of a forum in new tabs.

Have you tried using a different browser to see if the same issue occurs?

Hm, The only thing i can think of is that it is something to do with the ads that are on here. Have you tried an ad blocker or something?

    First day without ads.
    No error messages so far.
    Many websites seem so empty.
    Wonderful experience. :)

Can you go to youtube.com/html5 and disable html5, and try going to watch videos?

If you can watch videos, then you are not having an issue with flash, and it is a version problem.

Also, what extensions are you running on Firefox?

HTML5 was not enabled; yes, I can watch them.
But version...tried re-installing with the newest version twice. :/

With extensions, do you mean plugins or "Erweiterungen" which I would translate as extensions?

    Plugins:
    -Adobe Acrobat
    -Java Deployment Kit
    - Java SE 7 u67
    -Shockwave Flash

    Extensions:
    - AdBlocker

Should Adobe Flash player be listed somewhere, and not just Shockwave Flash?

Interesting. Flash player does not show up under plugins, neither does it appear on the firefox plugin check page to determine whether it's up to date. But when visiting the flash test page, it tells me at the plugin box that adobe flash player is currently active...
