Bonjour, citizens of France! It is with great honor that I introduce myself as your newest mayor! As the first resident of France, and the creator of the Eiffel Tower, Andrewkm himself has declared me capable of returning this town to its former glory. The next few weeks will be tough, and you may see some of your neighbors disappear from the town, but those who are truly loyal to France will remain and help rebuild. You have all been plagued by grief, theft, and lack of a leader, but I intend to remedy all of that. It will require dedication, hard work, and help from all those who decide to stay, but we will make it through these hard times together. Clou, glad you are the mayor! I will happily help restore the town! It was distressing to see the Eiffel tower have some missing blocks thankfully it can be repaired by its creator! Vive la France!

As stated on the previous France thread, I am willing and anxious to help get this town back on track. I want to see this town restored to its former glory and I am glad that Clou will be the one getting us there I would like to keep my perms and plot in the town. I would also like to contribute to town reconstruction so just let me know what to do Vive la France!
It is fantastic to see some Server-Owner intervention into the issue of a previously Mayor-less France. Our attempts to store an unofficial Mayor now have been made pointless, but for good reason, and I thank andrewkm for his decision to give us a Mayor to lead us. However, I am afraid that due to time constraints, it will be unlikely that I will ever have the time to return to the town, or ECC at all, for that matter, and thus I recommend that, for the benefit of France, my plot is put under the ownership of the French State. The plot will be of high value due to its proximity to the town portal, and keeping it is useless if I will not have the time to nurture it. May I be given until Thursday to remove my trade signs from my plot, which resides adjacent to the town portal. I shall leave all the basic materials in my plot, to be removed and recycled for the benefit of France. I wish you all the best, Mayor Clou44, and pray that you may lead France into a new journey and through a new beginning, middle and lack of end. Vive la France.

Residents, my final letter to France and its people, I have known little of France, for I was, during my time in France, a mere storekeeper, and I have never had interest in the French State until it collapsed by the actions of two scammers, both of which now serve their time. I have had only commercial interest of France, and I have introduced much business into the unique town named after one of the greatest countries in the world. Many of you will have felt the benefits of having Pontvert Incorporation near you, as it provided you for many weeks with exceptional wood services, and local businesses also benefited from our presence in France as visitors came from afar for our services, some by will and some by need. Had I more time to balance out between relaxation and studies, it is definite that I would have nurtured my plot more whilst I had it, and without doubt I would still be providing my services to France today. Oh, how many logs of wood I chopped down, and how many piles of money I made. I shall look upon my days in France with happiness, and I shall remember the warm and inviting community that welcomed my arrivals from the other side of the portals. Recently, as most of you are aware, I attempted to restore order to a devastated town, and I had failed to. I have failed France, you may argue, and I have failed its people. But my actions, combined with the actions of the residents, may be the reason why Clou44 is your new Mayor, and why she is presenting her reforms: without our laments of a lack of Mayor, without our cries and pleas for a new authority, a new order, a new Mayor, to pass our laws and establish our rights, France would have died out, and she would have faded in the mists of time. Yet we, as the residents of France, have saved our town, and we must look upon ourselves as the saviours of a beautiful and astonishing town, one of the finest in Ecocitycraft, and always regard ourselves as saviours. Monsieurs, madames, what we have created, what we have done, is unique in Ecocitycraftian history, and what fools would we be to dismiss it! So many told us that we would not be able to revive a dying town, so many warned us that we would never be able to restore France to its former glory, and yet here we are, with a new Mayor and a new start! We have proved them wrong, but, most importantly, we have done it, residents, we have done it! We have proven that the lack of Mayor does not mean the end of a town. The town lives beyond the Mayor, residents, the town lives beyond the Mayor! Let us shout it to the whole of Ecocitycraft, let us broadcast it to the whole of the server, from monumental Caprica to bustling Wallstreet, from polished Berlin to sunny Domini, let us tell the whole server of our unique history, our unique culture, and our unique town. Let us display our triumph in parades, let us influence the minds and thoughts of the many, let us erect our statues, and our landmarks, and our monuments, to express our jubilant glory and show to the whole wide world what treasure lies amidst the oceans. Many Ecocitycraftians are miners, spending the countless hours seeking gold, seeking iron, seeking redstone. They needn't look further: the Diamond is in France, because France is a diamond like no other. And I thank andrewkm for his appointment of the graceful Clou44: as I have stated twice before, nobody could have made a wiser appointment, for it cannot be doubted that Clou44 will lead France to the best of her abilities, using all her talents and gifts. We are fortunate to have a Server-Owner who listens to the needs of his server, and a Mayor who listens to the call of her town. Be obedient to your Mayor and her ministers, be respectful to your neighbours and their plots, but, above all, pay your services to France, and do whatever must be done, and do it for the benefit of France and the French State.
