I honestly don't see anything wrong. If two users decide to do this, it won't change much. The ratings are for fun, and extra thing with the forums, they in no way "shape" or show who you are as a person/user and will have no effect in their gameplay. If someone thinks that having tons off ratings are cool, let them. I'm proud of my ratings, but i don't brag about it. Just my two cents
Rating have really no point, I have 216 rating and that doesn't give me any benefits, although I earned my rating by posting good content I am still not bothered.
It doesn't really have any effect... ratings don't do anything. It doesn't happen often, but it doesn't do anything, so there's no need to keep it from happening.
I think there is already a rule that kind of prevents this; or, at least, does not allow threads blatantly for rating each other up... But, as the other posters have said, ratings do not do much. There is not even a leaderboard or table that shows who has the highest ratings. It is a person's own choice if they want to see ratings as a good or bad reputation.
Ratings are just a fun addition, so don't take it too seriously. We will delete threads with the purpose of increasing ratings.
