ECC’s Wedding of Mission001 & Ladyvamptress

Hello ladies & gentlemen! Where to start? So, a lot of the community knows, but for the ones who don’t know...

Spoiler: Story

Mission001 and I are engaged irl. We have had a long distance relationship for the past 6 years (and been engaged the past 5 years). Our hope is to one day get married, but because Mission lives in another country, it’s not that simple for us. I need to make an income of $32k a year, but I only make $24k currently. Once I make enough to sponsor Mission to move over here, we can get married and he can stay here to start the long process of becoming a citizen; however, it’s going to cost us roughly $5k for all the visas and file the paperwork, then another $8k to hire an immigration lawyer to help us through this process we know nothing about. This makes it pretty much out of the question to have an actual wedding irl. I was pretty crushed because I wanted a nice wedding. So Mission and I play ECC to do something together and he suggested throwing a huge wedding in-game, make it a huge event filled with games, prizes, star tool drops, etc. Well we started the project and after a year of building and around $1m, we got the ice cathedral pretty much done (excluding the landscape around it). Then main had to be reset. Of course the build is still there at /warp cityofice on archive, but there is no point in completing it and holding a big bash there. This crushed me, absolutely broke my heart. So when the new main came out, Mission and I decided to not rebuild it, we just didn’t have the motivation to start all over with such a huge project. Again this was a bit hard to swallow for me, but it is what it is.

Anyways, last night Andrew came to me and offered me a chance of a lifetime... to actually make it possible to hold the wedding on new main, and make it that big event that I wanted. I’m sure that our amazing server owner isn’t going to donate star tools and do all the things we had planned, and Mission and I are still rebuilding, so I don’t think it’s going to be as big as we originally planned, but I’d still like to try and make this a special day for not only me and Mission, but one for the whole community. Andrew has tasked me with the job of planning this shindig and I don’t even know where to start. So I thought I’d start this thread as a discussion. People can come in and offer help as we will probably need funds and manpower to build an appropriate place. I’ve had a few people come forward to offer some help (will list them at the end). So let’s discuss this! Let’s do this!

Update: (Finally!)
We now have all 4 towns needed and a build in mind, just need to finish alterations in single player.

I will need people at some point, possibly a few weeks to a month down the road to help with clearing. As for the build, it will be broken up into sections to make it easier to build using litematica, I'm hoping. I'm still working out the alterations in single player.

 

We are not having a wedding irl. We are just going to the courthouse because of how expensive everything else will be. I would be happy to invite you if we were having one.
