I think it is because you need pyro to place lava which you use right click for and you use right click put fuel into the cooking pot but it is taking the lava out of the bucket, not placing it which is why it goes through but you get the pyro error message because the game also thinks you tried to place lava.
@uytm1 I have pyro+ and will put 1,000,000 fuel into your cookpot for free! Then u have no need to worry!
