I was in Ventrilo part of the time this was being discussed. I was not paying complete attention to the conversation going on, so I could be slightly off, but what it sounded like to me, was that they were going to teleport you there to see the tournament if you paid them $250. Did they not teleport you, or were you expecting to be participating in this tournament? This might have just been a misunderstanding, as the Ventrilo room had a few people talking at once sometimes, and things could have been misunderstood easily. As well, with so much going on, they could have forgot to teleport you if that was the case. Easy mistake.
I was in the ventrilo at the time and they called it a "Quick way to get money" and they were saying that they were going to try and scam people but that it didn't technically count as scamming. I believe that they did this with the intent of scamming money from people.
@zwunder: I've spoken to some people about this complaint, and I believe you are thinking of another time, not last night/at the time of this. There is nothing solid on what happened. Getting evidence is nearly impossible when it comes to Ventrilo. No evidence means I can't do anything. Though, from what I've heard, they told you that you were paying to watch, not participate. Either way, no evidence/proof of anything, and nothing can be done.
