[Complaint]

They had already bid before this, sorry for the confusion. She did say in the chat that I'd missed her previous bid, she said to scroll up and check which I did, so I'm sorry you feel this way. If I'd known a complaint would be filed, I would've screenshot her prior bid. There were a lot of bids flying at various items, so sorry for that! But she was the rightful winner.

 

People need to make it clear what is being bid for, I had seen her bid but presumed it was for something else when she then notified me that it was indeed my item she bid on I had no choice but to regard it, I am truly sorry you are upset by this, but it does say in the rules if a player does bid then I can't ignore it. Next time I will pay extra attention to anything being bid on at the same time.

 

Fair enough, but personally I think it's a tiny error that is really noone's fault. I'm not trying to cheat you out of anything, nor am I trying to upset you or break any rules. I believe I acted correctly under the circumstance. Either way, no hard feelings on my part.

That isn't the case. The relevant rule is from Section 4, Clause 5:

Code:

'You are allowed to ignore bids from certain players at your discretion,
however, you must do so inclusively. Once you have heard a bid from a
player, you may not ignore that player’s bids for any reason for the
duration of that auction.'

Applying it this case, the fact that chanimeryl found out the bid was for their auction doesn't necessarily mean that it has to be accepted automatically. If l_Torterra_l had made earlier bids and they had been 'heard', then any bid made before the end of the auction would have to be accepted and could not be ignored. The 1k bid came after the auction in this screenshot however, and I would need screenshot proof of both a bid from l_Torterra_l being 'heard' and the 1k bid being said before the auction was ended.

TJanicki - As it stands there isn't any evidence of you placing the [possible] wining bid in the screenshot above. Do you have any proof of this?
