Felon Usernameurrguin Complaint: Essentially taking items I asked him to recover after death on a protected town with intent to sell (technical grief), extortion. Evidence: Some screenshots of myself pleading with Purrguin to give back some of the items he claims he "found", etc. Additional Information: Essentially what we have here is a case of not trusting anyone who sits behind a computer screen. Friend or Foe. Friends in real life or strictly online. While helping fruit_ninja_987 complete a task of placing ice between dirt blocks for a farm, I discovered there was a huge hole in his farm. At that very time my assumption was the server had not yet rendered the entire area yet with the blocks currently there. While walking towards that hole to make the rest of the farm land render, I discovered it was a true hole. I fell far and I died. The items were located on the island of atlantas (a protected town) which fruit_ninja_987 has permissions to add and remove members. As of this complaint... Purrguin is not a part of this town. I've checked /region and Purrguin's name is not on that list. Continuing on, I respawned and immediately sent a teleport request to fruit_ninja_987. He accepted. I told him I needed help and showed him the hole I fell through and died. He immediately notified me he would fix it. I hopped into Global chat and sought purrguin for help. I asked him for a *favor*, and sent a teleport request. He accepted. I explained to Purrguin I fell down the hole and died. I explicitly told him my items were down at the bottom but I have no way of getting them as I do not have the fly feature. He hopped down the hole, picked up the items, and flew back up. What he did next (may be understandable to you, but not to me) made me VERY irate. He asked for money. I explained to him I would not pay money for items that were mine. Purrguin refused to hand the items over unless I paid him. He attempted to explain that after dying, it doesn't matter what the issue is, the items now belonged to him. Upset, I pleaded and pleaded to return the items, and stated my case that, regardless of cause: -I knew where I died -I knew the exact location of the items and I showed him where to go. They were NOT lost! -I knew what the items were (Buckets (filled and empty), about 44 sponge, ice, and about 100 chicken) Purrguin didn't care. HE continued to rant and rave that the items were "lost" and he "found" them. I offered to pay the 1500 eco dollars to get them back.. but he attempted to extort more money from him for the services (screenshot). The amount was 500 eco dollars. While nothing may happen without the hard evidence of the initial conversation of the deal, I do have SOME of the evidence that purrguin: 1)obtained said items with the intent to sell (hence the offer). 2) I have evidence of extortion of more money for the "service" he performed, which would indicate he accepted the deal/service to obtain the items I'd "lost". I have evidence purrguin was on the scene of protected land (atlantas)(Screenshot). Not only was his avatar there, but there is indication he chatted locally. I do have evidence that I am a valid member of atlantas and that purrguin is not. I would also like to add he DID return ONLY the buckets (screenshot) which indicated he completed the task he agreed to. Also, while nothing more may happen, I want to let every new member, old member, super mod, mod, et all. Never to trust a virtual soul on here... including... Purrguin!
I take back what I said about the sponge. I wasn't certain on the amount, but I did discover 14 on my land which would bring the total sponge count to about 30.
Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done here, you died on your own accord and he didn't force you into a hole to lose your items nor did he kill you. While it does not make his image as a person better for himself, he has a right to keep items that he found regardless of whether or not he knew you died and dropped them.
As talked about in great detail, without no evidence that the trade was agreed to that Purr would return items for you we cannot take any action. Because of this nothing further can take place. However as stated to you in depth, this may be usable if it happens more often. But if it is, it is only able to be used by a SuperMod reviewing the cases of Purrguin and which has complete evidence. This is always a reminder that even people we like, may not always be trusted. Screenshots are very much ALWAYS required for all trades. You never know when you may be trolled.
