I am C0-Mayor of Bountiful (cat4461176 is my Mayor) and we have partnered to build a town to our own tastes. One of the features we wanted to use in our own shops were framed items above things we had for sale. We just did our first shop (and a clock on the mantle) and it looked SO Great! This morning we discovered that all of our frames were gone, including the clock. I asked in chat and was told that our server owner uses a command called /butcher to help clean things up to alleviate some of the lag. I completely understand the need for this. However, I was wondering, was there Anything At All we can do to place and keep the frames around our town? We lost some cow leather but not enough to be really painful and fortunately had nothing expensive framed so we are making no claim of loss. We just really really really want to use framed items and hope there is some way you can guide us to do it. We love creating things in a survival world and have really enjoyed the challenges your economy server presents. Thank you for your time. Sincerely Rheasmom
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do at this time. Unless Mojang changes the code on what frames are (they are entities, just as paintings, minecarts and mobs are) they will always be cleaned up by either GameAdmins doing /butcher or by the server itself during a restart to clear up the lag. When frames came out we tried to make it pretty clear public knowledge that frames can/will and do disappear and that every user should not use them. I am sorry for your losses but at this time nothing else can be done. (Also you should have posted this in the suggestions forum, even though it's a complaint it's a complaint against the server as a whole, not a single person). RagMan
