Minecraft Username: ChaosBubba Reason: Banned for Advertising Counter-Reason: I can see how it looked like I was advertising after fail messaging a friend about a server ip [Mod-Edit]. [Mod-Edit] is a fun server that a lot of people go to with friends. I was not advertising I was simply asking my friend Sockiezrocz to join me in a game of "[Mod-Edit]". It would be a real waste of time to advertise for a server that is already huge anyways. I would ask sockiezrocz to reply to this forum but I sadly can't considering I am not allowed access to the server. I hope it is understood that I was not advertising but simply asking my friend to play on "[Mod-Edit]" with me while we took a break from ECC. Evidence: I really wasn't expecting to get banned for this so it's not like I would have taken screenshots or anything =P. You can ask sockiezrocz anything you would like though. She was my friend who I was asking to join me on the server to take a break from ECC. If you can please just message her in game because idk how much she checks the forums. Plus I have a lot of work to do on my town so the sooner the better =D.
Hi I'm sockiezrocz, I just wanted you to know that he was not really advertising the server. He sent the IP to me in private chat so only he and I could see it. We are both still very active members on ECC; we just wanted to play a few games of "The Walls." I was having trouble private messaging him on the that server so we turned to ECC so we could talk to each other. He was not advertising the server we just wanted to play a few rounds. I just needed to know the IP and other than ECC we have no other forms of communication.
Hello there, I am glad to see you wish to appeal. First and foremost I want you to understand that any kind of advertising other servers is completely prohibited: Being the one that witnessed it, I can give you better insight on it. As I remember it, your message appeared in chat as "msg sockiezrocz <ip>." After I verified that it was a server IP, I banned you for advertising. I realize that you just missed the "/" in front and that would have avoided the ban. However, the rule specifically states that advertising at all can warrant a ban. I will be issuing you a 1 hour temp-ban in order for you to re-read our server rules and specifically read over our strict stance on advertising so we can avoid this problem again in the future.
