I have never had this issue occur. Are there any special circumstances? What does your set up look like? EDIT: Maybe it is due to placing on the 'bottom' of the log?
Hmmm...I'm not sure. It's never done this since the server updated to 1.7.2. It may be another one of the 1.7.2 glitches. And no I dont have it set up in any special way, just the same as most coco farms.
I tested this and am not able to place a cbean if I am running down the row, only if standing directly in front of the log. The cbean does not place on the log, more like the distance if it were ripe instead of green and then it just drops off.
This happens to me often. It is usually from lag, because I also get shifted back a few blocks. I would reccomend pausing in between every 5-10 or so blocks. It helps a lot
What do you mean by, "turn and float"? I know cocoa beans will not always work when planting if you go too fast with fly (Like pumpkins except not really . I personally prefer going to the top of the row, then holding right click as I fall at full speed, then go back up once to take care of any I missed.
I replied to your report about cocoa despawning, but you never replied back to me. I am happy to look into it if you respond.
It is caused by the chunk system. The jungle log is in one chunk and the cocoa bean is in a different chunk. When the jungle log chunk is not loaded, the cocoa bean pops off. That is my guess. Sent from my LG-VM701 using Tapatalk 2
That might be one solution, however as far as I understood it not whole rows pop off, but only a few beans? If yes, then it wouldn't fit to the chunk bug and it's more likely to be caused due to the bottom side of the log. Can somebody help me...what was introduced first? Cocoa or sideway logs? If it was cocoa, then the bottom side solution is the most likely one.
Cocoa came first...yes, I assume back then they only planned cocoa to grow on normal logs and not on the bottom. So I'd say that is the cause.
Not sure if that would actually count as necro...useful things were posted, so it might be called "Help that took a while to arrive".
