I can't really play beta 1.8,for example when I try to make a new world in singleplayer it makes the world,then goes black and crashes.So I don't think I can play on minecraft until I see if I can play online. EDIT: I think I can go on my big brother's computer,maybe. I have a Macbook version 10.5.8,and everything is updated on my computer.It has lots of space left but just does not work too good.It's VERY old and has gotten it's screen broken once and some pieces have been chipped away on the top of my computer.
Or maybe you lack the knowledge to optimize your computer for high C/GPU usage? edited by Zeno78 you could have been a little more diplomatic what are your pcs specs
