I am sorry if this is not a bug but I did ask numerous times in global and got no response.
@314 This isn't actually as I thought. "Waiting" means waiting to cook. If you place the ores in the cookpot after about 10 seconds they will smelt.
I find the best solution atm is to place the items in the cooking pot then teleport away and back to reload the chunks the cooking pot is in. Has not failed once for me yet and they start cooking immediately.
