you don't get exp from mobs that have spawned from a spawner and seeing as thats the only way to spawn them you wont ever get exp from them.
Actually, you do I believe. I think it's just 1.8+ mobs... I'll try magma cubes soon, because I don't think it's spawner mobs.
Mobs from spawners don't give you mcmmo exp. Learned that yesterday elsewhere. Seems fair this way, at least... Means you actually have to work for your skill exp.
