In Game Name: GoMonkeyMadHave you changed your Minecraft username since being banned/muted? If so, what is your previous name: NoWhich of ECC's services are you banned/muted on: MainReason of Ban/Mute: Scamming other playersRule Violated: Clause 2 - Scamming(top) A general definition of a scam in the context of EcoCityCraft is a transaction in which a user pays for goods or services from another user, and does not receive those goods/services in the agreed upon timeframe. Failing to uphold your end of the deal is scamming and is punishable by a ban. Your continuance on the server may rely on you following through with your end of the deal, or refunding what you scammed, solely at the staff’s discretion. Clause 2.2 - Attempted Scamming(top) Users cannot attempt to scam other users. If enough evidence is provided and the staff believe a scam was intended, this will result in a temporary ban against the offending user. Attempted scamming includes misleading sales or Auctions. For example an auction for 'a melon, sword'. Clause 4 - Autonomous Accounts(top) An autonomous (aka bot) account is any account used for a specific purpose, and is not an active player on ECC. Examples: Discord -> Party Chat integration via an account is a bot. An account designed to AFK in a specific spot to load a chunk/keep a spawner loaded Chat Logging account General Use commands/utility based PM interactions This list is non-exhaustive. Bot accounts are different than alt accounts in the fact that they are primarily unattended. Bot accounts are restricted from doing the following, in addition to anything in the server rules. Handling any sort of currency. Block Break/Place interactions Autonomous Chatting in public channels (PM's are fine, as are party chats, island chats, etc) All bots are tied to an "owner" that is responsible for the bot's actions. Anyone wishing to use an autonomous account on any part of the ECC Network must be approved by JamieSinn via PM prior to use. Failure to do so is grounds for the bot account's ban without warning. Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means: It means if someone pays for something, they have to receive the goods from the seller. Like selling an enchanted axe, you have to give them the axe once they pay the amount.Reason you feel you think you should be un-banned/un-muted: I realized that scamming isn't the way to go and I've learned that I shouldn't make money that way. I've matured a bit and will learn from my mistakes. It is also almost Christmas time too so I'll try to repay the people I've scammed as a small gift even though it doesn't make it right. For all the players I've scammed, I'm sorry and I wont be scamming ever again.
@GoMonkeyMad, thank you for filing a ban appeal. After checking your ban reasons, you need to also edit in your appeal the rule for bypassing bans as it states in the rules section of the wiki. After that, I'll further proceed with your appeal. 24 Hours to Respond/Make Changes
@GoMonkeyMad, from the looks of it you owe 3 people money. You owe: @MSU_Spartans $13,000 @Chuck_Norris_1 $15,000 @ImPickles $6,000 Totaling $34,000 in debt. I’m giving you exactly 2 weeks, starting after your tempban expires, to repay all three users. I’d suggest contacting these three users to discuss how they’ll receive those payments. $34,000 is due by January 5th, 2019. User TempBanned for 24hrs
