Reason of Ban:

My in-game reason is listed as “Doesn’t care about rules.” I have uploaded a screenshot of the reason which can be found at this image hosting URL: ​

Rule Violated:

A number of rules were infringed upon by my behaviour. Find below a concise, quoted list:

· Section 2 Clause 2 - Trolling:

o Trolling is not allowed on the server, especially any trolling that is directed towards another user.

o Attempts to start any form of chaos and discord within the server.

· Section 2 Clause 3 - Harassment:

o Harassment constitutes as any form of action (chat or game play wise) that makes another player feel threatened or otherwise ruins their game play.

o Harassment is absolutely inexcusable on EcoCityCraft. If you are engaging in this behavior expect to be removed from the server with little to no warning.

o Disrespecting staff falls under this rule - They are players too.

· Section 2 Clause 4 - Common Sense & Bending the Rules:

o While this is a gaming environment, EcoCityCraft is also a very large community. As such, we expect that all players use their common sense. Be a good sport and a friendly community member.

o Common sense extends to not bending the rules. Bending the rules constitutes as very severe trolling, and is not tolerated in any form.

o Encouraging others to break the rules is not using your common sense.

o Finding ways around the rules is punishable at administration’s discretion, from warnings all the way up to bans. Please see EcoCityCraft's General Disclaimer for more information.

o If you feel like a rule has a loophole or a way that it could be used to be trolly, we encourage use of our suggestions forum or contacting the administration directly in order to take a look at the rules that may need to be changed.

· Section 10 - General Forum Rules:

o There is to be no flaming, raging, insulting, or disrespecting of other members. This includes attempting to prod a user into starting an argument with you or others, as well as just plainly attacking them.

o Threads made for the sole purpose of raging/flaming another user or at the server in general are against the rules. The punishment for this is the thread immediately being deleted and a forum warning applied to your forum account.

o Posts made for the sole purpose of raging/flaming another user or at the server in general are against the rules. The punishment for making a flame/rage post is for the post to be deleted and a forum warning applied. Multiple flame posts in a single thread will result in a thread ban of at least 3 days and up to a permanent thread ban.

o There is to be no trolling, harassing, or attempts at annoying / prodding another user into breaking the rules or to a point where they feel uncomfortable/necessary to get staff involved. Should staff deem your post trolling or harassment, you will immediately receive a forum warning and possibly a forum tempban.

o There is to be no abusing of any forum features

o There is to be no spam. This includes posting threads in all CAPS.

· Section 4 Clause 2 - Vulgarity:

o Inappropriate and vulgar language is not allowed. This includes anything put on signs, said in chat, written in books, renamed to on items (see Section 3 Clause 2.1), spelt out in blocks (see Section 2, Clause 2.1), or any other way of communicating.

o Occasional mild to moderate vulgarities that are not directed at anyone (such as "slip-ups" or saying them in the incorrect chat by accident), self-censorship of a swear word or abbreviations that may imply a swear word (eg. WTF?) are allowed unless it is directed at another user.

o Repeated or excessive swearing, and especially vulgar language directed at anyone, is not tolerated under any circumstance.

o Racist language or prejudicial language of any sort falls under the vulgarity rule, and is considered a very serious offence which may result in a ban with no warnings given.​

Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means:

The first rule I violated (S2C2 – Trolling) states that acting stupid as a ploy to incite disorder, or further stupidity, is prohibited on EcoCityCraft. If this rule was not in place, the server would become a toxic environment which would not be enjoyable for any player.


The second rule I violated (S2C3 – Harassment) states that staff members are to be respected and treated like any normal player, their rank does not permit me to make their EcoCityCraft experience unpleasant.


The third rule I violated (S2C4 – Common Sense & Bending the Rules) states that it is important to be a friendly and compassionate community member. The rule also states that the rules should be respected for what they are and intend to be, you should not try to work around them in a creative way.


The fourth rule I violated (S10 – General Forum Rules) states a lot of guidelines that should be upheld on the forums. Pertinent to my case, posts made to incite disorder are prohibited as these can quickly snowball into larger problems for the already busy staff team.


The fifth rule I violated (S4C2 – Vulgarity) means the language used by players should be appropriate and, if bad language is ever employed, must never be directed at another user. If this rule was not enforced, the community would be distinctly split up by groups of people who use disgusting communication – creating an environment which is not a nice place to play.​

Reason you feel you think you should be un-banned:

Before I launch into a long prosaic appeal about why I feel I should be unbanned, I first would like to kick this off by apologising directly to the people I hurt through my indefensible and downright thoughtless actions. Andrew, what I said was wrong. You are under a lot of pressure with the ridiculousness of EULA and it was wholly ignorant of me to post what I did in the forum premium section. I cannot take back what I posted, no matter how much I would like to, but I hope we can find some common ground to move on to if I am blessed by a chance to return to this wonderful community I have hurt. Secondly, I apologise to the staff team who work tirelessly to make this server the superlative of Minecraft Multiplayer. You too are all under immense pressure and the last thing you needed, at a time of such high tension, is a two-year veteran like myself being rash and ill-tempered in some attempt at humour. I knew the rules and their implications, yet I chose to ignore them – something I understand is utterly incorrect and shall never be repeated. Lastly, to the players which constitute the beautiful community with which we are blessed by on EcoCityCraft. What I did was silly, immature and reckless. My actions hurt the server management, yet it was perhaps equally a stab in the back to all the users who have trusted and supported me over the years. Every single one of you has taught me to be a better person over the two years I have played here but my actions have let each and every single one of you down. I would understand whole heartedly if you were all to write me off as an idiot and troublemaker, so it is up to you all if you choose to find forgiveness or not – I will understand your decisions, whichever side of the line they fall.


To make this clear, I recognise without a shadow of doubt that the actions I took over the last few days were inexcusable. I will not try to blame the rules, I will not try to blame another player nor will I try to blame any personal reasons for my behaviour. Blaming anything other than myself would be a stone cold fallacy. The responsibility for my actions lies solely with me and I accept them for better or for worse. Writing the things I did, acting the ways I did, are huge blots on my record on EcoCityCraft, blots I never believed I would receive when joining the server. But it is not this tattered track record I am concerned by, rather I am concerned with the people I have offended and otherwise made their experiences on EcoCityCraft less than enjoyable. What started off as me joking around was taken way too far. The individuals I thought I was entertaining were actually turning their heads away in disgust at how crude and vulgar I was.


Take my word, this behaviour will never happen again. I am deeply embarrassed by the way I acted. Over the last few days of being removed from the server, I have come to fully appreciate just how wrong I was and I can make great assurances that this conduct will never be seen again from me if I am gifted another chance. God knows I do not deserve a second chance, I am lucky not to have been immediately permabanned for my acts and no matter how much I try, I know I will never be able to take back what I did. But the only way I can prove to you that I have really turned over a new leaf is through what I do from here on and to the future. I can be a worthwhile community member. I hope to mend the bridges I burned. I will be a better person.


In final, I would like to close my appeal by reiterating the apologies that need to be made. To Andrew, you work tirelessly to ensure that every single community member feels cared for and appreciated. My posts were in direct opposition to this harmony which punctuates throughout EcoCityCraft, they were undeniably in bad taste and I apologise unreservedly. You really do not need a young kid idiot like me saying utter rubbish when there are much more important things to be dealing with, things which will help the whole community but were slowed down by my selfishness. To the staff team, I apologise for wasting your time on our server with silliness and pointless trolling. I hope you can forgive me for bringing down the enjoyment of EcoCityCraft for all of you and I assure you this will be the last you see of me on the wrong side of the rules. And finally, to the community, I apologise for letting all those who believed in me down. I know many of you well, and many of you have supported me greatly as I have grown up on this server. Letting you all down by trolling and by being rude has really made me wake up to the large number of people who care for me here – you are like a second family to me and I ought to have realised that sooner before I hurt you in this way.
