Basically, a message that gets posted every 5 minutes or something that says something along the lines of "be sure to trade safely and collect evidence <link>", where the link is a link to a guide for safe trading, collecting evidence, and filing complaints. A lot of people file complaints without evidence, simply because they didn't know they had to take screenshots. A lot of people also don't file complaints at all, maybe because they didn't know, or because they didn't want to. Either way, a guide + automated message would help raise awareness. Also, the guide would be an official guide backed and peer reviewed by staff and requires the approval of every GA. The guide has to be flawless if you want to present it as an official guide. If we put the responsibility to trade safely on the users, then we should also make sure they are informed of that. Note, this message would be toggleable with a command. If you don't want to see it then you can opt-out.
Would you suggest that the automated message can be disabled? If it can be disabled, I quite like this idea. If a user disables it but then fails to collect sufficient evidence then they are at fault and can't complain about a complaint being dismissed for lack of evidence. They have made the decision to ignore and disable the message/warning.
Of course, if they don't want to see it then they can simply disable it. Maybe put the command to disable the message in the guide or something.
+1 I forget things easily, and forget to take screenshots. That would be a good reminder for me, and other users to prevent scamming
Alot of new players like builders are pretty clueless to these things and are targets sadly, this would be a great addition in getting rid of the scammers +1
I'd like to see this happen. It could possibly display a few /help chapters as well (such as /help rules etc) Also, http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/suggestion-help-screenshot.90763/page-2#post-506095 /help screenshot would be something that could be added into this
This is a great idea, I dont tend to deal with anyone in trades unless i really have to. But i see lots of people complaining about being scammed and things like that, so hopefully people can be safer trading with this.
If this is implemented we need /st messages. (st mean Safe Trade) Cause by now most players, hopefully, know how to trade
